Saturday, 23rd May – We visited the Simon Community today in neighbouring Motherwell, where we donated excess sandwhiches, ready meals and bread with today’s date. They were very grateful for the support from Communities Together. We’re all in this together!
Simon Community in Motherwell is part of the North Lanarkshire division of Simon Community Scotland, based in Ballater Street in Glasgow.
Every day they help make positive things happen for people facing extremely difficult circumstances by providing expert, compassionate and flexible support and link people into the services they need.
Simon Community Scotland deliver a range of services across Glasgow, Edinburgh (Streetwork) and across Central Scotland. They work with people so that they can resolve their homelessness as quickly as possible. They maintain contact with people – in diverse circumstances – so that we can help them address the underlying reasons for their homelessness and get the support they need.
